Modern Greek

In the past, Greek Gods were known as to keep the world in order. Now though, they are thought of folklore and just fairy tales, but that is hardly the case. Each generaion these Gods are reborn to keep the world in continuing order. Although the powers vary with the age and with the person they are none the less similar. Unfortunately along with the good come the bad.

Rules
1. You are not immortal. You are simply human.
2. You must take a Greek God inheritance.
3. You can not be below the age of 16.
4. You can not be over the age of 21.
5. God-Modding rules are going to be severe.
7. Your character's powers must be relevant to your Greek inheritance.

Names:
Autumn and Aaron
Nickname:
Min or Minnie and (None)
Greek Inheritance: Artemis and Apollo
Age: Both are 17
Family: They are brother and sister who live with their grandparents.
Gift: -Together: They have a vision like gift that can see the future of someone's death.

-Alone Artemis: Can manipulate time by stopping it.(Free to move)
-Alone Apollo: Can rewind or fast forward time. (Only able to watch)
Last Gift: It
is one that if used it will result in both of their deaths. If they
choose to they can step into the future of someone's death and stop it
by replacing them. Again, it is a gift that they must use together and
it will kill both of them if used.

Personality:

Both are very docile. Artemis is very motherly and is often giving
advice to others around her. She is very sentimental and is often
humming some song. Apollo doesn't speak much but he is much the same as
Artemis, but is the stronger leader type. They both are very
understanding types of people who have a hope in everyone. They try to
remain optimistic about everything, refusing to look at the negative.

Background:
Artemis and Apollo's mother died giving birth to them and since the
father was unknown they lived with their grandmother and grandfather to
take care of them. They found out about their gift when they had
stopped a cat from being ran over. Their grandmother explained their
gifts to them and let them keep the cat as their guardian sign that
revealed their gifts. ((Basically the gift is passed down and when the
twins would discover the gift it would be from the effect of their
guardian in the form of an animal. The animal is powerless but they are
like a superstitious good luck charm to keep.)) As they grew older they
discovered a new gift. It was one where they discovered their deaths in
a vision. They decided to never use the gift ever again.

Autumn and Aaron arrived to school late as they usually did each Monday of the first month. With little to no regard of their first class, they headed straight for a stair well at the end of an empty hallway and sat with their backs towards opposite walls as each fished out a foiled wrapped sandwich out of their bags. They ate in silence not looking at each other but rather some where far off past that of physical viewing. Autumn was the first to break the silence.

"I don't think Ellen is happy with us. She put mustard in my sandwich."

Aaron shook his head with a look of doubt and responded in much of the same as Autumn had, calm, even and with little emotion.

"No. She may be upset with our decision, but she isn't angry. I think she just accidentally switched the sandwiches when giving them to us this morning. Mine has mayonnaise."

Autumn nodded and finished the rest of the sandwich despite her taste's dislike and then tossed the foil wrapping into a near by trash can. When she turned back to her brother he still hadn't taken another bite of the sandwich and Autumn asked with a bit more concern, "Were we wrong?"

"No," he shook his head looking down with a furrowed brown in partial thought and concentration, "I think that she is just afraid of the unknown."

"Oh." Autumn answered and then looked back away, once again lost in her mind as she thought of their conversation the night before. Aaron and Autumn had confessed to their Aunt Ellen that they were no longer interested in the church. They hadn't believe in God for a while and it seemed pointless for them to attend any more services. Their aunt had tried to talk them out of it, saying that they were just going through a phase, but phases didn't last years. They had ended the conversation by going mute and no one talked to anyone the rest of the night. It made sense to Autumn though. Their aunt was a devout Catholic and pressed religion on every topic she could especially when it came to Autumn and Aaron. Their mother had died giving birth to them, and they didn't know who their father was. Ellen had made them go to counseling once a month even though their silence was just an act of being peaceful, not disturbance. This morning was no exception. Their psychiatrist, Dr. Anders had taken them through the same process of asking them to answer questions and practice mind games trying to reveal something that was not there.

"Someone is coming, we should probably get up and act like we are heading to class."

Autumn blinked out of her momentary trance of thoughts and stared blankly at Aaron until what he said processed through her mind. There were foot steps coming down the hallway and class still had an extra ten minutes to go.

"Oh, yeah."

They stood up grabbing their bags and headed half way up the stairs and waited for a few seconds before stepping back down to the hallway. It was better to look like you were going some where and not hide and be right in front of people, other wise it looked suspicious. They hadn't even turned the corner when they came face to face with another student. He looked just as surprised to see them as they were, but Aaron simply sat back down where he had been sitting shrugging off his back pack with a 'never mind.' Autumn did the same and grabbed out a book from her bag.

The two could care less for students to see them skipping class. It wasn't like any student would rat out another. It was only the teachers that they actually paid attention to. Neither Autumn or Aaron had the patience for detention or any other sort of punishment and they didn't exactly feel like drawing attention to themselves by being excused into class late every morning, and they especially didn't feel like sharing their reason for being late with the school.

Aaron sighed and zipped open his bag to take out his sandwitch once again. Even though mayonnaise wasn't his actual favorite he still wanted to eat a little more. He didn't mind much anyway. His mind was pretty distant to even care. He took a bite into the sandwitch grimacing once.

Aaron didn't know how many times they had been here in this place every school day but it felt like forever. Aaron didn't care much for classes just like Autumn. Because they usually came here, it gave him time to think or even talk to his sister. They had a connection that noone could break. He truly cared for hir sister and helped her when he could. There were of course arguments and disagreements, but it never became a huge elevated problem.

Aaron put the sandwitch down and sighed one again looking over Autumn. He smiled lightly and said jokingly

"You know, Minnie, really don't like mayonnaise."

If anything, even if it was a random statement he tried to lighten the mood a little. Yes, they were both concerned about the effect of their decision, but he figured that everything would be fine eventually. At least he hoped it would.

Funny. Now that he thought about it, this situation could truly turn into an elevated problem. if not handled properly.

Minnie didn't say anything to her brother's joke but merely pretended to keep reading. The book in her hands was her 'snickers bar moment.' It got her out of talking when she didn't want to. If someone had asked her what the book was about, she would not have been able to tell them. She hadn't even read the first page. The five minute warning bell sounded off and Minnie placed the book back in her bag and looked across at Aaron with a slight smile.

"Five more minutes. Do you think it would be pointless to show up to class?"

She grinned at her own sarcasm and then stood up to stretch a little. They didn't really even need first period. It was their gym class and they had plenty of exorcise after school when instead of taking a bus or car ride, they walked back home. There was a forest path way that half way between the school and their home and it gave them a little bit of joy out of life.

Despite the period coming to an end, both Aaron and Minnie disappeared to the separate bathrooms and emerged dressed in their p.e. clothes. They were just in time for the students exiting the gym doors and lining up at the Girl's and Boy's locker rooms. They slipped into their separate groups and disappeared behind the doors. For whatever reason the gym teachers took roll at the end of the period in the locker room. They said that it was to make sure no one had ditched during the period. They locked the doors to the gym from the inside so that if anyone left they wouldn't be able to get back in and would be counted as absent. This didn't make entire sense to Minnie, but it didn't matter. There were three classes that shared first period so the teacher's didn't really notice who was there or missing. Minnie was checked off as she replied, "here."

Five minutes later Minnie and Aaron were both back outside of the locker room. The passing period bell had rung. Quickly they grabbed their clothes from the hallway locker and changed back into their regular clothes. It was a tiring and repetitive process, but it was only once a month and winter break was coming up close and then they wouldn't even have to worry about school at all for at least two weeks. It would give them plenty of time to relax. Minnie thought about the word for a bit. They were always very relaxed. She couldn't remember a time that either one of them had ever actually been really angered or even feeling stressed. They weren't invited to any parties because they did not have a clique. They didn't have to worry about rumors except one in middle school where someone said that they had an incestuous relationship since they never argued and treated each other like best friends. Even then, the most that happened was that Aaron and Minnie ignored it, continued acting as they had been, their aunt found out about the rumor and their counseling sessions increased to twice a month for the rest of that year.

Even during that time the two had never really cared much and if they did, they didn't show it. Minnie had been a little bothered though, only because it was embarrassing for her to think that people thought that way about them. Luckily though, they were at a new school, a new town, no one knew them, and life was quiet. Literally it seemed to Minnie. She didn't mind it though. She enjoyed the peace, but as she exited the bathroom and found her brother waiting at the stairs, she began to wish for just a moment, that something would happen to bring her out of the rut she was walking in.

Aaron waited outside the locker room for Minnie quietly as not to draw attention to himself or from others. It was at times like this where he just watched as the other students passed by him not even giving him a second glance.

"Hey did you see when he-"

"And then I was like omg no way!"

"So what had happened was-"

"We went skiing last year, it was-"

"So we were all into it, and I pulled her to the bed and"

"No, I don't think she-"

"Haha. Thats what she said-"

All these conversations and more were heard by Aaron as students passed by him. He wondered if what they talked about truly entertained them. He didn't see how it would. Aaron like peace and therefore never really talked unless the situation called for it. Would he ever to have a conversation like these student? Not very likely.

Soon as Minnie came from the bathroom, Aaron turned to her making sure she was ready. "Next class?"

"Sure." Minnie replied and headed up the stairs where not more than 10 minutes ago they had been sitting. It had been quiet then. Now the stair well and halls were bustling with noise and snatches of conversations. A few times Minnie thought that she had heard her name and her heart beat skipped a bit but then died down as the conversations took a turn revealing a different meaning such as someone buying a mini skirt. Eventually she just shut her ears off of trying to listen into others conversations until she reached the end of the second hallway. She didn't bother to look to see where her brother was, he was already gone to a different class room, but she could still faintly feel his presence in the back of her mind just as she was sure he could feel hers. Being twins left that effect on them.

The bell rang just as Minnie took her seat. The door closed and a middle aged woman with an obvious stomach took over the front of the room. Her smile and the way she looked at the room of students gave Minnie the impression that she was either about to unload a week long task that she was confident all of her students might actually do with the hopes of enjoying it or that she was finally taking her medical leave. From the looks of the other students around the room, they were hoping for the latter. Their hopes were quickly shattered.

"As you know, I will be taking my leave next week and you will have a substitute. I don't know who it is, so don't bother asking. But this week..."

Minnie didn't hear the rest as her teacher's voice was replaced with another. One much closer to her.

Hey. Are you actually paying attention to your class?

Her brother's voice echoed in her mind as it always did when they were away from each other. It was another side affect among others that they were strangely born with.

You aren't. She responded.

There was a pause and Minnie's ears tuned in to what her teacher was saying long enough for her to hear something about group projects before Aaron answered.

That is true, but I don't think that you would care to listen to student reports on the same subject either. Different people, different place, same meaning, its gets dull.

Minnie had to agree with that. She never did pay attention to someone else's report and she didn't care enough to whether or not they listened to hers. Aaron's voice clouded her mind again though before she could respond.

Your class sounds more interesting than mine, what's going on over there?

Minnie had to pause for a moment to think. She hadn't been listening. She had barely even been paying attention to her surroundings and was surprised to find the lights off and a power point running on the screen. The teacher was explaining something about spies who participated as journalists and had to find information in enemy territory. It was a group project, Minnie could tell now, and she was sure what it was about now.

Do you like eaves dropping?

Not particularly.
Was the answer. Why?

Group project.

There was a silence at this point. Minnie and Aaron had rarely ever participated in group projects and when they did they were either together or they had convinced the teacher to let them work solitary. They didn't want the risk of having anyone over to their home. When Aaron did respond back, it wasn't the reaction Minnie had been expecting. It was light and nonchalant.

So...you are going to be eavesdropping on people for a group project?

Uh...something like that. I'm not sure yet. You are distracting me.

Minnie said the last part with sarcasm although she wasn't sure if tones of voices could be heard passing through their minds. She never really thought about it before. She heard a laugh though in her mind and then Aaron's voice again.

Then I will leave you alone. I have to give my report now anyways.

The rest of the class time Minnie's thought stream was silent. She had been grouped up with a few students whose names she knew but had never talked to past the casual, "Can you hand me a pencil," or, "What did she just say?" Minnie of course was on the opposite end of these questions and handing over the pencil or repeating what the teacher had just said. She didn't think that she would be able to get away with that this time.

Dean twisted and twirled his locker combination. With a click, the locker unlocked and Dean pulled it open. He threw his backpack inside and grabbed a couple books for his next few classes. Dean lightly shut the locker door, being as careful as possible, as he usually did, to not break anything.

It was a couple of minutes before the next class started and everyone else was already in a class at this moment. So, Dean walked to the commons and placed his books on the table.

Some students were out of class this period as well. Dean saw a few familiar and unfamiliar faces walk in and out of the commons. Some said, 'hi', to him and some just glanced at him and kept walking. Dean brushed his hand through his hair and leaned back against his chair. School was his form of Hell, and he just wished he could sleep through it.

As the bell rang for passing period, Minnie was the first person out the door. She grabbed the hand out sheet her teacher passed out at the door but was stopped before she could get lost among the students crowded in the hallway.

"Hey, wait a sec Autumn, I want to speak with you for a moment."

Anticipation rose up in the pit of Minnie's stomach as she assumed the coversation was going to be about her anti social behavior in class. The students passed by each grudginly taking a hold of the paper. A few tried to get by without one but they were stopped before they could escape. Minnie still wasn't sure what it was they were supposed to be doing for the project. She hadn't really been paying attention. A few of the girls were excited, but the boys were morose. It supported her guess that whatever project it was it had something to do with eaves dropping and rumors. It wasn't something she was exactly excited about either.

As the last student passed, Minnie followed her teacher back into the classroom. Her name was written colorfully at the top of the board, "Mrs. Shingles." The entire room was much the same, colorful and bright, bursting out with enthusiasm, everything that a new teacher would do to create excitement in her students. Minnie stopped at the teachers desk where she awaited the counseling and the offers of someone to talk to if needed. The questions were generally the same, 'is something go on at home,' 'is everything alright;' they varried in choice of words but the jist of it was the same, a nosy teacher who wanted to look supportive. Minnie waited for her to speak first.

"Autumn, before you assume anything, I just want to first clarify that you aren't in trouble."

Minnie nodded without any change in expression. She knew she wasn't in trouble. The only people who got nervous when a teacher called them up was when they had done something wrong or had a secret that could ruin them if uncovered. She kept her eyes locked with her teacher's as she continued speaking.

"Your grades are fine, and your report last week was wonderful..."

This was it, the interrogating questions.

"What I want to ask, is for a favor. There was a separate part of the assignment in class about the group project but I didn't tell anyone because I want to keep it a secret. I know that you are pretty quiet and wouldn't tell."

Minnie was shocked. She didn't say anything yet, but the change in her expression, a flicker of curiosity, enticed her teacher to continue.

"To do this, you wouldn't have to work in a group. You would still be doing this for a grade for the same amount of points. And it is the same amount of work, but just different criteria. Is that alright with you?"

She nodded with a bit of astonishment and then responded.

"Yes, that is fine. What is it?"

"Well, as you know this project is going to involve finding the truth through a lie. A lot of the spies had to find out the information they needed without getting it mixed up with false credentials. Your job is too spread the lies. I want the other students to try and figure out what is the truth. Is this alright with you? Of course there will be others in the rest of my classes doing the same as well as telling the truth...that's about it though. I really want this to be authentic."

Minnie shifted a bit thinking about what was being asked of her. It just felt awkard in the first place to be spreading a lie. It just felt like the rumor that had taken place back in middle school. She would feel like a hypocrite. She was about to question the idea a bit but caught the look in Mrs. Shingle's eyes. They were hopeful and excited and Minnie couldn't refuse. She gave a smile and nodded.

"Sure why not?"

A grin bounced off of Mrs.Shingle's face and radiated towards Minnie and she couldn't help but smile a bit more too.

"Well wonderful, then let me give you this other hand out and I'll just take this one."

She swapped the rubric sheets out of Minnie's hands and then stood back up to walk her to the door. Aaron was waiting there for her. As they neared the door Mrs. Shingles continued spouting her hopes for the class and Minnie couldn't help but feel a little guilty. All the new teachers started off the same, they always ended up the same as well. She just hoped dearly that it wouldn't happen to Mrs. Shingles. Minnie finally gave her good byes and walked down the now empty hall way. They probably had less than a minute left to get to their next class, but they didn't speed up their pace. Instead Aaron asked her a question.

"What was that about?"

Minnie thought about whether she should just shrug it off as nothing or tell her brother. He probably wouldn't like the idea, neither did she, but she couldn't go back on her word. Maybe she would just tell him later.

"Something about the project. I'll tell you later."

Aaron shrugged as they reached their class just in time and took their seats. Minnie felt torn.

Dean slowly opened his eyes as he heard the bell ring for next period. He stood and picked up his books. Within seconds, the halls were crowded with students. All of them were running around, exchanging a word, a glance, or a secret, going to the bathroom, and grabbing their books.

Dean often thought to himself, "Why is everyone in such a hurry? I could be across the country in four minutes if I really felt like it." Then Dean realized that no one else had super powers like he did.

Dean walked into his class and took a seat in the back. Dean didn't feel that it was necessary to sit up front to pay attention, Dean was naturally intelligent in this particular class. Physics were something he understood well.

Students began piling in to the room and taking their seats. Two of Dean's friends sat near him and began talking to eachother about the test they just took. Dean stared off, lost in his own thoughts, he nodded every now and then so they wouldn't think he was ignoring them.

The class quieted down as Mr. Stevenson entered the room, "Good afternoon class."

The rest, Dean tuned out as white noise.

For three classes a day, each two hours, and then home room at the end of the day after lunch, Minnie and Aaron always found ways to finish their work before eating, but today Minnie was lost in thought. She was thinking of what Mrs. Shingles had asked of her. She really didn't want to dissapoint her, but as Minnie peered across at Aaron, she realized that she didn't want to dissapoint him either. Aaron looked up to catch her looking back. He didn't speak, their teacher was strict during tests. But Minnie could still hear him.

What's going on?

Minnie shook her head without answering him and looked back down at her test and bubbled in an answer. She could still feel his presense in the back of her mind but it disappeared as he focused back on his test as well.

Lunch came soon for Minnie. She would have to ask her brother about the deal soon. Maybe she should just tell him now, that way if they both decided it was better tha she didn't go with the project, Minnie would be able to ask Mrs. Shingles to pass it on to someone else. It would dissapoint her, but Minnie didn't want to dissapoint herself with following through with something such as creating false truths. But what all did she have to say anyways? Maybe it wasn't as extreme as she was thinking. Maybe she was just getting worried over nothing. Minnie decided that she was over reacting as she and Aaron settled outside on the steps of the school courtyard. They didn't speak to eachother. They rarely did, they rarely spoke much at all. They rather just enjoyed the silence and the noise of everything else. If they wanted to talk, they could always hear eachother through their thoughts.

In one split second that peace and quiet was shattered with a screams and shouts. Aaron and Minnie's bodies spun around to the direction of the noise behind them. A crowd was gathering but there was no source of a fight and then their eyes followed the points and heads of the others. A women was standing at the top of the building.

The bell rang and Dean walked out of the classroom. He made his way through the moshpit of students and found his locker. Dean tossed his books into the locker and spun the lock.

Dean began to make his way to the auditorium, it was where he usually went during his free periods. It was usually quiet in there and Dean could get a good 40 minutes of sleep before his last class.

As Dean turned down the hall to the auditorium, he saw a mass of students push past him and shuffle outside. Teacher were chasing after them. Some of the teachers were begging their students to return to class and some were as frantic to get outside as the students. Dean shrugged and started to head into the auditorium, then he heard a girl scream.

Minnie looked from the girl to her brother and he shook his head.

"Why not?

"No."

"Give me a reason."

Aaron looked back at the girl this time and then backat Minnie.

"We aren't allowed to interfere."

Minnie looked upset for a second but then nodded only to shake her nead no a few moments later.

"It isn't interfereing if she doesn't jump. If we can just get up there while she is still safe..."

"No."

Aaron's voice spoke in a command and Minnie stood up with him following suit as he spoke again.

"No, Minnie."

She looked towards the girl but made no motion. From across the way she could hear people shouting and someone on a megaphone trying to coax her away from the edge. She had tears streaming down her face. Finally she tore her eyes away from the girl and back towards her brother.

"We would be helping the order of time if we do stop her. Everyone is supposed to have a death that does not include suicide. If she does commit suicide, she is throwing it out of wack. If we stop it, we are keeping everything in order. It isn't interference."

"You don't know that." was Aaron's response.

"You don't know that you are right either."

He didn't respond to this but took a few seconds of silence before speaking again.

"We can't go back and time to prevent her, but it would be awkward for her to one second be up on the roof and then next on the ground fine. It would create confusion."

Minnie thought about it and then her face lit up.

"Just stop time long enough for me to get up there. Then I can pull her away as you start time again."

Minnie waited for Aaron's approval and finally he nodded and Minnie smiled.

"Okay."

Aaron and Minnie stood side by side with their eyes closed, but they could still see what was going on. In their minds they stood out of their bodies and they could see the world from a bird's eye view and a their view at the same time. They both floated awkwardly above as time continued to move but with their physical bodies motionless. Sounds were contorted like they were in a far distant place. Time was slowing, and slowing, until it came to a stop and they opened their eyes again. Each stepped out of their physical body. It was silent, pure silence. Aaron nodded at Minnie once more and she took off running for the back of the school where she could get to the stairs that lead to the roof fastest. She took the stairs two at a time and at last reached the door. She ran out and spotted the girl looking down with one foot on the edge. In the distance she could see Aaron watching and her motionless body standing next to him. When he started time again, she would feel nautious as she would be colided and thrown back into or rather jerked into her physical body. She probably only had a minute. Together they could hold a time rift for up to an hour, alone barely even five minutes, maybe not even that. They hadn't tested it. Minnie nodded to her brother and she saw him close his eyes again to concentrate releasing, but before he could a flash went by her and she felt wind throw her hair to the side. Her eyes widened in surprise as someone had gotten there first.

Dean ran past the groups of students that were now, to him, frozen in time. This always happened when Dean ran his fastest, everything just sorta stopped.

Dean had discovered this power when he was a little kid around the age of five. Him and his foster dad were playing catch. His dad over threw it and it went a long distance past Dean. Dean started running towards the ball and he ran as fast as he could. Soon, he was running too fast, and had past the ball by a mile or so. Dean didn't know how to stop, he just kept running. He ended up in the middle of a field 4 miles away from their farm house. His parents eventually found him by following the destroyed ground from his footsteps, alone and crying. Dean apologized and cried, his foster mother leaned down and said to him, "don't apologize sweetie, your our special boy."

Dean ran around the corner and up the maintenance stairs. as he reached the last level, he noticed a girl on the staircase. He assumed she had heard what was going on and went to help, but he noticed something odd. She was moving at normal speed. Dean had to time to think about it, he was already outside within miliseconds of seeing the odd girl.

Dean slowed and stopped by the girl for a moment and said, "I'm going to take you to the ground. It's not your time. Stay calm for me." He paused a moment so that the speed of sound could catch up to the girl. He then lifted her up and jumped off the building, past the crowd. He hit the ground and the ground buckled underneathe him. Dean set the girl softly on the ground, and sped back into the school.

Minnie barely had time to think about what to do before she was forced back in a jerking motion into her own body. As Aaron had stopped time he had grabbed hold of her physical self to bring her back where he was. She nearly keeled over from the motion sickness and he supported her so that she didn't fall. He had seen what had happened and had brought her back before anything more could be discovered. It was best to leave people in a state of confusion. Minnie still got one last glance at the person as she was sped back into her own body but it was only the back of their head. Time regained its normal flow and people were shocked to find the girl on the ground perfectly fine. She was crying and friends were hugging her. She was just as confused as anyone else. Minnie looked at Aaron. He had a look of fear mixed with determination in his eyes.

Not bothering to go to home room Minnie and Aaron grabbed their belongings from their locker and headed up towards the roof once more. Whoever it was would surely be curious enough to return to the scene. Both Aaron and Minnie had discussed it over the rest of their lunch period. It was a dangerous idea, but surely if this person was somewhat like them, they wouldn't think of telling about their secret. After all, they had their own secret to protect as well.

Dean ran into the auditorium and hopped onto the stage behind the curtain. "How was that girl moving at regular speed?" He asked himself outloud. Dean had used his super speed since he first discovered it and never as anyone moved like that.

Then something hit him, "Maybe she's like me! I've looking all this time for why I can do these things, and maybe she knows." Then Dean thought it through, "I bet that conversation would go over well, 'Hi, I'm Dean, I happened to notice that you walk at normal speed when I run faster than a speeding bullet. Care to elaborate why?'" Dean played the convo over in his head and it sounded more rediculous each time. Maybe it was better not to ask.

Minutes passed and finally a full hour and the school bell rang releasing students from their last class. Minnie and Aaron ducked down and sat against the wall so that no one would mistake them for wanting to jump off as well.

"I don't think he is coming Min."

Minnie kept still making no move or sound towards her opinion.

"Min..."

Aaron's voice was asking for an answer but Minnie just shook her head and he sighed.

"I want to know as much as you do, but we can't stay here all day. Give it five more minutes."

Dean decided he really had no other option. If they'd be anywhere they'd be where I saved that girl. Dean sighed and made his way out of the auditorium.

Dean walked up the 2 flights of steps and paused before he reached the door. Dean took a breath and slowly opened the door.

On the roof were two people: a boy and a girl. Dean recognized the girl right away, his instincts had been right.

Minnie looked up to see the person who opened the roof door. She had been right and while she didn't say it out loud, Aaron could hear her say, I told you so.

The three looked across at eachother. No one saying anything and each waiting for the other to speak first. Of course Aaron and Minnie could speak to eachother without saying a word, but even then, Minnie's mind was silent. She was sure that each of them were trying to figure out and guess what the other person was all about. It was impossible. Someone had to speak. It was Aaron first.

"Well, this has been rather awkward."

He stood up and brushed himself off and then helped Minnie up. She had hesitated at first but finally relented and stood up as well. Now it was the other person's turn.

Dean glanced from one of them to the other.

"Well depends on what your definition of 'awkward' is." Dean said closing the space between them. Dean decided he might as well try to be friendly to the two, they could be like him after all.

Dean extended his hand to either of them, "I'm Dean, I was probably that flash of color you saw earlier." Dean said this, praying that he was right about them.

Minnie looked at his hand but made no motion. She just turned a bit away instead. It wasn't really like her or Aaron to interact much with others and it was a bit unsettling for her. She wasn't sure what to do, but Aaron seemed fine. He took his hand to shake it and then withdrew it back again and then brought Autumn back around with a slight tug. He motioned his hand to the both of them.

"Aaron and Autumn and I guess if you are admitting to it."

"Admitting what?" Dean chuckled a little, "That I can run faster than a speeding bullet? It's kind of rediculous if you think about it."

Dean looked at both of them, examining their posture, physical appearance, and how they reacted to what he said. In certain ways, Dean felt connected to the two of them. Almost like a part of them had known eachother before, but only centuries ago.

"So, I'm guessing you two have some kind of ability. You're the first person that was going at normal speed when I was running, that's never happened before."

Aaron was the first to answer and his tone of voice never changed nor his expression. For Autumn it was the same, with the only difference being that she never said anything.

"It's like that when time stops. Others can't move, Autumn and I can. You could. Chances are if time hadn't stopped for a moment, you probably wouldn't have seen her at the speed that you saw her at."

Minnie shifted a bit and looked up at Aaron confused. He seemed almost to know exactly what he was talking about and for some reason it bugger her a little. It felt that since there was something that he knew, but she didn't that there was hidden information between them. Then she was reminded of the project she had yet to tell him about and she felt guilty once more. Now certainly wasn't the time. Yet, she wanted to speak about something she knew. What did she know? Nothing. And this person coming to hem obviously knew nothing either but hoped that they would. She finally spoke up.

"We don't know anything if you are searching for information. Other wise if we did know what this was all about we probably would have met you sooner."

Dean felt his enthusiasm drop a little. He nodded, "I see."

Dean was hoping he would find out who he was. He realized though, that maybe if he stuck with these two, maybe they'd eventually get answers. It was worth a shot.

"That doesn't mean we just give though. Maybe we could eventually get some answers together?" Dean was hopeful, but these two seemed researved and hesitant to accept anyone besides themselves. They had a close bond, that was obvious. It was something Dean wish he had as well.

((lol, why do I get the feeling that this is going to be mainly just the two of us lol? At least for a while.))

Aaron sighed considering the option of sitting down and talking to this stranger and then he turned towards Minnie as his thoughts entered her mind.

Well?

Minnie furrowed her brow in concentration and thought for a moment before answering.

Let's not get to into it yet. Maybe we can just ask questions first. We can try to get more information out of him while answering as little about us.

Aaron nodded and turned back to Dean.

"Okay."
